The smokey eye is probably one of the most sought after looks at any makeup counter. One of the most common misconceptions regarding the smokey eye is it can only be achieved using colors like gray and black. Although this is the traditional look, a smokey eye can also be achieved by using any color from brown to purple. One of the most important things to note about a smokey eye is to be sure you know what your end look is so that you don't blend up too close to the brow bone. Working with darker colors is always trickier than working with lighter colors because a little dark goes a long way. So experiment and have fun and enjoy color in your smokey eye.
