Quality vs. Price

In the makeup world a question we most often ask ourselves is, "Quality or price?" Although, I will discuss this topic regarding other items, specifically I would like to talk brushes. Brushes and fingers [i learned to appreciate this from aucoin] are one of the most essential tools any makeup artist uses. I have worked with different types of brushes and I believe artist brushes are the best type. Specifically discussing both Bobbi Brown and M.A.C. Brushes, they are amazing. Bobbi Brown is know for her soft washes of color, being both beautiful and timeless. While, M.A.C. Cosmetics is known for their high intensity color and bright looks on eyes, cheeks and lips. Both sets of brushes allow the artist to effectively achieve these looks. Brushes are one tool I encourage you not to trade quality for price. Especially in the beginning when first starting a kit, it can be temping to try and get a cheaper brush, but the results will not be the same. Creativity will always be enhanced by the proper tools.
